The transformed spa at Six Senses Con Dao invites guests to embark on personalized wellness journeys and experience heritage treatments, designed to instill Vietnamese vitality. Located within the Con Dao archipelago, a 45-minute flight southeast of Ho Chi Minh City, the spa is set within lush tropical foliage and stretches across nine overwater structures to emulate the serene charm of a Vietnamese fishing village.

The spa’s design is inspired by the water lilies that grace the surrounding waters and spread over 1.5 hectares. Sustainable building materials including bamboo and teak wood adorn the natural landscape, while the all-encompassing range of experience follow the Six Senses high-tech, high-touch philosophy to blend age-old wisdom with modern day methods.

Six Senses has achieved worldwide recognition as a pioneer of sustainable practices, demonstrating that beautiful hideaways can live in harmony with local communities and ecosystems. Through genuine actions promoting personal health and the health of the planet, Six Senses takes guests beyond destinations into new discoveries, so they feel the purpose behind their travels.

At Six Senses Con Dao, the approach to wellness is integrated and personalized, focusing on optimizing sleep, mindful nourishment, movement, and self-discovery. Bespoke programs include Ayurveda, detoxification, sleep enhancement and yogic retreats. Each is led by in-house experts and formulated for each guest upon their arrival, informed by a 1:1 Wellness Screening, which provides comprehensive biomarker evaluations for tailored health improvements.

The new spa at Six Senses Con Dao features traditional Ayurveda and Thai Massage facilities, in harmony with biohacking technology and a myriad of modern thermal bathing such as steam rooms, Finnish saunas, infrared sauna rooms, and ice bucket showers. Eight treatment rooms including a couples suite feature, alongside a Relaxation Lounge and Alchemy Bar, where guests can join workshops on how to harness the healing powers of indigenous plants and herbs grown in the on-site gardens of Six Senses Con Dao.

Unique to the location are natural healing therapies derived from age-old local traditions of Vietnamese Medicine and Northern Herbology, including Dien Chan facial reflexology to enhance natural glow, and acupressure stimulation to energize and revitalize.

Morning meditation, restorative yoga, and sound healing sessions are held in dedicated open-air pavilions set against the backdrop of the 2-kilometer private beach. The wellness journey continues at the Biohack Recovery Lounge, where advanced technology is combined with recovery techniques including compression therapy, pain relief, and instant tension release, intended to strengthen physiology and psychology, ensuring guests leave in a better place than when they arrive.

Treatment programs are further complemented by Eat With Six Senses, a Six Senses standard where food is as nutritious as it is delicious, and Sleep With Six Senses, a groundbreaking program conceived by Six Senses in collaboration with renowned clinical psychologist and Sleep Doctor Michael Breus. A carefully curated calendar of renowned Visiting Practitioners also support guests in their journey towards physical, mental and spiritual well-being.

Eat With Six Senses principles emphasize local, organic, and seasonal foods curated to the needs of each individual guest and their nutrition goals. This means indulging in healthy, flavorful meals that follow a seasonal sea-and farm-to-table concept using ingredients fresh from the resort’s organic farm and ocean waters, rich in vitamins, enzymes and sea minerals.

Every Six Senses guest room is optimized for sleep, from the handmade mattresses by Naturalmat to the organic pillow menu and bedding on top. The Sleep With Six Senses program sees guests follow a sleep tracker or sleep tracking ring can to measure a wide range of metrics during the different sleep stages. These results are analyzed during a sleep review to pinpoint any changes that may need to be made for the following night.

Six Senses – part of IHG Hotels & Resorts’ luxury & lifestyle portfolio, one of the world’s largest – invites its guests to experience something out of the ordinary whilst being part of a community to ultimately reconnect with themselves, others, and the world around them.

With its long, palm-fringed, white sandy beach and two additional private islands, Six Senses Kanuhura is open and welcoming new and returning friends. Located in a pristine corner of the Lhaviyani atoll, the island’s natural beauty accentuates the design of the new Beach Retreats and the Reserve. The turquoise waters of the surrounding lagoon promise exciting aqua adventures, while The Point, at the northern tip of the island, lures diners with infinite island and ocean views.

Bryce Seator, General Manager, says: “The long-anticipated moment for the relaunch of Six Senses Kanuhura has arrived, marking a significant milestone in the island’s long history. It has been an exciting transformational journey, and we are very proud to unveil the reinvented island experience that takes guests beyond the beach into wellness, sustainability, and memories that last a lifetime.”

Tropical island hideaway

With 91 beachfront and overwater villas, including 12 new one- and two-bedroom Beach Retreats and the three-bedroom Beach Reserve, with private pools and steps from the ocean, Six Senses Kanuhura is on point for both families and couples seeking quality time together. The laid-back tropical island feel has inspired the elegant architecture, while the interior design takes its cue from the naturally vibrant colors of the surrounding Maldivian nature.

Stories are ready to be written on the island’s white sands; whether it is a lazy walk on the beach during the sunset, a family dinner under the stars, or a picnic on a deserted island, all experiences are crafted to create a sense of reconnection.

The Grow With Six Senses kids’ club and the Island Hideout, designed for teenagers to spend time with new friends, complete the holistic approach to family travel. Crafted experiences can be tailored to suit small and large families alike, including family picnics on a deserted island or private cinema screenings, along with various classes and sessions that can be enjoyed as a group, such as cooking classes, catamaran sailing classes, and paper making sessions at the Earth Lab.

Sound healing and wellness

From the gentle breeze that rustles through the coconut trees to the waves breaking on the shore, the island’s uninterrupted nature sounds are immersive and mesmerizing. At Six Senses Spa, the oceanic drums and signing bowls create a relaxing sound-healing journey. The biohacking lounge offers options to overcome jetlag and also relax the body between dives and workouts, reducing recovery time, and experienced therapists also offer locally inspired treatments.

Culinary Atlas

Many cuisines from East to West are represented in Six Senses Kanuhura, allowing ample choices from a broad spectrum of flavors and aromas. Following the Eat With Six Senses concept, all dishes are made with fresh, sustainably sourced ingredients from the island’s organic garden, local fishermen and farmers or the wider region.

The Point offers Spanish-influenced cuisine paired with a Mediterranean wine concept, while Bottega captivates with its deeply-rooted traditional Italian recipes. The Market creates colorful evenings with its ever-changing dinner options, including influences from Southeast Asia, Japan, and India. Sip & Sand offers poolside culinary adventures with cooked-to-order meat cuts and the catch of the day on charcoal fire. Castaway lunch at Drift is an experience that shouldn’t be missed.

Tucked away in the lush tropical nature of Jehunuhura, Drift features dishes with freshly caught local reef fish that sizzle slowly on the grill, marinated with fresh herbs from the organic garden and local spices. The Sunset Point promises stunning sunset and ocean views, with chilled-out moments on the overwater hammocks.

Sustainability

The brand’s ethos is reflected in the resort’s reinvention of the original construction as well as its offerings and operations, such as sustainably sourced food ingredients, producing and bottling drinking water on the island, growing vegetables in the organic garden, actively contributing to the island and the Lhaviyani atoll’s marine conservation, and more.

With its sunny terraces emerging from the mountainside just above the Crans-Cry D’Er gondola, Six Senses Crans-Montana officially opened, marking the brand’s debut in Switzerland. The ethos is vitality, serenity, and adventure, with exclusive ski-in, ski-out convenience from the south-facing pistes in winter, leading to culinary, cultural, and sporting experiences for the rest of the year.
The 78 rooms and suites, and signature Three-Bedroom Prestige Apartment, blend contemporary and traditional alpine finishes and feature large bay windows and generously sized balconies to maximize the connection with natural surroundings. This restful habitat – complemented by the Sleep With Six Senses program, including natural hand-made mattresses, cloud-comfy beds, and a personalized sleep plan – combines all the fundamentals to recover from busy days spent in the surrounding high-altitude playground.
Delighted at the extensive facilities and experiences, General Manager Six Senses Crans-Montana Christian Gurtner says, “I have had the privilege of working in some of the world’s most stunning locations over the past years – from the glamorous Beverly Hills to the picturesque Vancouver, the exotic Honolulu to the bustling Hong Kong, the vibrant Singapore to the charming Switzerland. It has been an incredible journey, and I almost forgot just how breathtaking Switzerland truly is.
When coupled with a brilliant team of hosts, Six Senses Crans-Montana is set to be an unforgettable and exceptional experience for guests. The combination of excellent facilities, surrounding nature, and outstanding service create a warm and welcoming atmosphere that will make guests feel at home.”
The Summit of Serenity
Guests can reconnect and restore in the nearly 22,000-square-foot Six Senses Spa, featuring nine treatment rooms, an extensive wet area, and a vast indoor pool topped with suspended timber icicles and opening out onto a courtyard. The spa menu offers a modern take on ancient treatments and therapies with a Swiss twist. Highlights include the Anzeindanz Glacier, a decadent Swiss chocolate wrap designed to nourish and moisturize the skin, the sensory Aufguss Ceremony hosted by skilled Sauna Meisters, and the Assisted Stretch Pod, where therapists use your own body weight to increase maneuverability.
Integrated Wellness
Six Senses Integrated Wellness allows guests to focus on their well-being and benefit from personalized programs based on the results of their wellness screening, and the Biohack Recovery Lounge uses the latest tools to aid muscle recovery and prevent injuries. Interactive workshops at the Alchemy Bar focus on the healing properties of natural ingredients to create fresh, seasonal, and organic scrubs, creams, masks, and balms.
Alpine culinary journey of the senses
Led by Executive Chef Lorenz Hoja, the two restaurants, bar, and lounge source ingredients from local farmers, producers, and artisans, with menus evolving with the seasons to unveil the rich diversity of the region’s produce and flavors.
With ski-in, ski-out access from Chetzeron piste, the all-day brasserie Wild Cabin is open with hearty and healthy menus for the early risers, lunch-goers, after-ski aficionados, and evening epicureans.
The signature restaurant Byakko unveils Japanese Alps-influenced specialties inspired by a mythical white tiger living among the highest mountain peaks and constellations, whose spirit now comes alive at Six Senses Crans-Montana.
At the heart of everything, Ora Bar & Lounge is the perfect spot to unwind over a cocktail or local wine complemented by bar bites as the sunsets over the slopes and Ora Pool Deck.
An adventure for everyone
With three hundred days of sunshine a year, Crans-Montana has a real sense of Carpe Diem. Nature lovers can rejoice in the landscape, whether walking with the yaks to the rhythm of alpine bells, to guided snowshoeing disconnecting from daily life.
Epicureans can enjoy the culinary delights of the Valais region, known for its local producers who take great pride in their craft and are dedicated to preserving the region’s traditions, including cheese making for raclette or fondue, and fine wines.
Cultural devotees will find many hidden treasures, including museums, events, and festivals. It’s also just a few steps from numerous designer boutiques and shops, award-winning eateries, and entertainment.
Perhaps the most notable, however, is the wide range of outdoor pursuits, delivering adrenaline and adventure to sports enthusiasts in all seasons. In the summer months, there are hiking and mountain biking trails right from the door, with paragliding offering the best views of the valley. Golfers can tee off at one of the three prestigious courses in the area. In winter, skiing and snowboarding are the most popular activities, with over 87 miles of ski runs and a variety of slopes ranging from beginner to expert, and even a World Cup run or two. Away from the pistes, there are also opportunities for winter hiking, ice skating, ice hockey, and curling in the town center.

The peak of sustainability

Consistent with the will to blend in the landscape, the design of the resort considered local construction methods, and, wherever possible, recycled and renewable materials inspired by the surrounding mountains through the use of quartzite stone facades, local larch and oak species, and slate roofs. Residual heat from cooling systems, pools, and kitchens is redirected to ensure guests enter into a warm and cozy atmosphere.

Switzerland has an existing waste management infrastructure, which allows for high rates of recycling and upcycling, and Six Senses Crans-Montana also encourages guests to get involved during zero-waste workshops at the Earth Lab to discuss the nuances of a sustainable life.
