World Expeditions is proud to announce the launch of On Water Expeditions, an exciting brand dedicated entirely to small-vessel adventure cruising. Designed for active travelers seeking immersive, off-the-grid experiences, On Water Expeditions combines small-ship intimacy with access to some of the world’s most remote and breathtaking destinations.

The newly launched website, www.onwaterexpeditions.com, serves as a comprehensive hub, featuring over 140 expertly curated small-ship expeditions spanning diverse regions – from the icy extremes of Antarctica and Greenland to the tropical paradises of the Maldives, Galapagos and Raja Ampat.

Unlike traditional cruise lines, On Water Expeditions is committed to genuinely small-group experiences. Every vessel carries no more than 200 passengers, with many accommodating fewer than 50, allowing access to off-the-beaten-path destinations larger ships simply cannot reach.

Each expedition is designed for travellers who want to be in the action – not just watching from the deck. Guests can kayak, snorkel, dive, hike, climb, or even camp in breathtaking environments. Whether it is paddling through Greenland’s icebergs, snorkelling with marine life in Palau or camping on the ice in Antarctica, every journey is an adventure.

Expeditions explore extraordinary destinations, including Antarctica, the Kimberley, Taiwan, Palau, the United Kingdom, and Vietnam’s Mekong River. Itineraries are carefully crafted to reveal the hidden sides of these regions, fostering deep cultural and environmental connections.

At the helm of On Water Expeditions is Brand Manager Rachel Imber, a 25-year veteran of World Expeditions with a deep passion for small-ship exploration.

“What excites me most about this role is the opportunity to redefine small boat travel—not just as a mode of transportation, but as a truly immersive adventure,” said Rachel. “Our expeditions take travellers to places that larger ships simply can’t access, creating an unparalleled connection with nature and local cultures.”

In keeping with World Expeditions’ long-standing commitment to responsible travel, On Water Expeditions prioritizes environmental sustainability and community-focused tourism. Smaller groups mean a lower ecological footprint, helping to protect fragile marine and coastal ecosystems. On reaching land, visits to local communities provide direct economic benefits without overburdening resources, ensuring tourism remains a force for good. Travellers benefit, too, as smaller ships create a more intimate and rewarding experience, fostering meaningful cultural exchanges and a tight-knit group dynamic.

With rising travel costs, environmental concerns and increasing overtourism, On Water Expeditions offers a smarter, more sustainable way to explore:

  • Exceptional value inclusions and cost-conscious planning ensure premium experiences without inflated prices
  • Sustainable practices reduce emissions and support carbon-conscious travel
  • Remote expeditions help combat over-tourism, steering clear of overcrowded hotspots

The new website, www.onwaterexpeditions.com, is now live, offering detailed itineraries, vessel information, destination guides, and activity options—making it easier than ever for travellers to find their perfect small-ship adventure.

Paradero Todos Santos is thrilled to announce its membership in The Leading Hotels of the World. Joining the largest and most exclusive collection of independent luxury hotels in the world, Paradero Todos Santos is one of only three hotels in Mexico to be accepted by the selective portfolio this year.

With 97 years of commitment to providing remarkably uncommon travel experiences, Leading Hotels selection process is limited to members that meet its high standards for quality and distinctiveness. The result is a curated portfolio of hotels united not by what makes them the same, but the details that make them different. With a record number of submissions for the year, Leading Hotels of the World received 650 applications and approved a slim margin of 34 new hotels.

“We are delighted to welcome Paradero Todos Santos to The Leading Hotels of the World,” said Deniz Omurgonulsen, Vice President, Member Experience, The Leading Hotels of the World. “With its deep commitment to supporting the local community, and its impressive collection of awards recognizing its exceptional quality, Paradero Todos Santos exemplifies the spirit of authenticity and excellence that defines our collection. As the only Leading Hotel in Todos Santos, we are excited to share their extraordinary story with discerning travelers from around the globe.”

Paradero Todos Santos debuted in 2021 with a vision to create a property that encourages guests to live like locals and be immersed in nature along the beautiful Baja California Sur coast. Alongside its award-winning design blurring the lines between indoor and outdoor living, the property brings forth an array of inclusive experiences ranging from surfing at Cerritos beach to hands-on farming tutorials that are all included in the nightly rate. Serving as a wellness oasis, guests can experience ancient Pericú healing treatments at the Ojo de Agua Spa. Fueled by a passion for slow design, the hotel’s comunal space known as the Living Room is home to an original retail collection and a series of handmade goods from sculptures to purses and sandals made by artists from across Mexico. The guest experience evolves into a culinary adventure at TENOCH, the hotel’s Michelin-recognized destination restaurant, where modern Mexican cuisine is infused with Japanese influences. To supply the decorated restaurant, the property is transforming over 60 acres of farmland with the ancient Aztec agriculture technique of  Milpa, which utilizes a mixture of fruit, vegetables, plants and trees to create nutrient dense soil, leaving the land in a better state than it was found.

This designation as a Leading Hotel follows the hotel’s receival of One Michelin Key in 2024, making it one of the very few properties in Mexico to hold the organization’s recognition for both the hotel and signature restaurant, TENOCH. Paradero Todos Santos has also been honored in Condé Nast Traveler’s 2024 Readers’ Choice Awards and 2021 Hot List, National Geographic’s 2021 World’s Best New Hotels, Architectural Digest’s 2021 Hotel Awards, Travel + Leisure’s 2021 “It” List, and more.

Josh Kremer, Co-Founder of Paradero Todos Santos, shares, “We are honored to be one of the select Mexican hotels in this carefully curated collection. This partnership represents the hotel’s dedication to honing the luxury experience at Paradero Todos Santos, driven by our focus on expanding the team with skilled and respected staff members. We look forward to welcoming new guests from around the world to have an immersive experience in our beautiful country and showcase the unique spirit of Todos Santos.”

In 2025, Paradero Todos Santos is set to expand the hotel with 24 family-friendly Villa Suites, with original immersive-experiences. This new development represents a meaningful expansion of the Paradero Todos Santos brand and will usher in a new era of family travel in Todos Santos. Community-oriented destination will continue to grow as new residents settle into Paradero Homes, a neighborhood of 26 branded residences. Furthermore, Paradero will launch a dedicated longevity center built on the concept of Future Living, which promotes a holistic approach to longevity through nutrition, movement, and connection.
