Bellagio’s Conservatory & Botanical Gardens debuts its delightfully eccentric summer display, “Glam Menagerie: A Surrealist Summer,” on view through September 6. Created by designer Ed Libby and Bellagio’s Horticulture team, the illusory experience transforms the Conservatory into a European garden party like no other, where baroque elegance meets whimsical fantasy, and luxury collides with imagination.

Designed to bring surreal art to life, the exhibit blends dreamlike creativity with opulence, sweeping visitors into a world where the extraordinary reigns supreme. Towering topiaries, couture animals and multi-sensory surprises dazzle and disorient, while intricate trompe-l’oeil illusions challenge perception at every turn. Throughout the display, surrealism takes shape in fanciful animal figures adorned in French Renaissance-inspired costuming, adding a whimsical flair to the escape from reality.

“Designing the summer display was more than just creating a beautiful garden – it was about transporting guests into an extraordinary realm where nature and opulence intertwine, surreal art comes to life and elegance blooms with every step,” said Libby. “Each element was chosen to challenge perception and celebrate luxury, imagination and the beauty of summertime.”

West Bed
The West Bed showcases a life-sized chessboard with moss-covered figures poised for a fantastical duel. On the left, a soaring archway crowned with the Bellagio “B” welcomes guests into a fairytale garden, where an elegant pink cockatoo swings gracefully beneath. Inspired by Fragonard’s iconic painting “The Swing,” the cockatoo brings a touch of 18th-century romance to the scene. To the right, a towering chess piece houses The Garden Table, where guests can indulge in a lavish Sadelle’s brunch or an elegant dinner from MICHAEL MINA Bellagio. Overheard, grand chandeliers illuminate pink botanicals and oversized topiaries that fill the bed below.

North Bed

In the North Bed, two topiary giraffe sisters are joined by Tigress Giovanna, gracefully perched on a swing and dressed in a striking black-and-white haute couture ensemble inspired by the high fashions of the French Renaissance. Nearby, two cherub fountains add a sense of gentle tranquility, while surrounding lavender, pink, blue and white flowers evoke the elegance of classic European gardens. LED screens filled with illusionary art brighten the bed from behind as a harmonious soundtrack and a delicate jasmine scent fill the air. Guests can bring home a piece of the Conservatory with a bespoke candle available for purchase at the Giardini Store.

East Bed
A captivating gazebo stands at the heart of the East Bed, where pedestal columns support a wrought iron dome adorned with pink and white blossoms. A flock of elegant flamingos wade in shimmering waters surrounding the structure, illuminated by antique-style lanterns embossed with the Bellagio “B” hanging high above. Throughout the bed, lush topiaries and boxwood creations add allure within a landscape.

South Bed

In the South Bed, zebras Sir Pierre and Lady Colette lounge amidst sculpted greenery. A pirouetting water feature pays tribute to the iconic Fountains of Bellagio, set beneath baroque chandeliers shimmering overhead. Behind the bed, carefully detailed doors invite admiration, framed by an array of pastel botanicals and topiaries of geometric shapes.

The Garden Table

Visitors are invited to embark on a one-of-a-kind culinary journey at The Garden Table, hosted within an opulent chess piece at the heart of the Bellagio Conservatory. Guests can experience an exclusive dining experience within the summer wonderland with brunch service from Sadelle’s at $125 per person and dinner from MICHAEL MINA Bellagio at $195 per person.

Reservations are required. To book and find more information, call 702.693.7075 or go online.

Sustainability at the Conservatory
Water used in Bellagio’s Conservatory and Botanical Gardens comes from on-site underground wells that use rain and recycled water from the resort, avoiding the use of municipal potable water. The water in the Conservatory is also recycled throughout the exhibit and reused at the resort. Bellagio’s water conservation efforts are part of MGM Resorts International’s overall sustainability commitment.

At the conclusion of each display, plants and botanical material without remaining viable life are separated for collection by a local composting facility. The organic waste is made into compost products to help improve the environment. This method of recycling keeps thousands of pounds of waste out of local landfills and turns it into something that improves the region’s soil, air and water quality.

Bellagio’s Conservatory & Botanical Gardens invites visitors to experience the magic of spring with its newest display, “The Birds and the Bs,” now open to the public through May 17. Imagined by designer Ed Libby and brought to life by Bellagio’s Horticulture team, this enchanting exhibit transports guests into a pastel wonderland, embodying transformation with stunning botanical masterpieces, wildlife-inspired elements and whimsical scenes that captivate the senses.

The name “The Birds and the Bs” is a playful nod to spring and nature, evoking images of pollination, growth and the vibrancy of the season, while the “Bs” also pay homage to the iconic Bellagio “B” that appears throughout the display, subtly weaving the resort’s signature identity into the garden’s storytelling.

“The spring display was created to honor nature’s beauty and the sense of renewal that comes this time of year,” said Libby. “We invite guests to immerse themselves in a world where Bellagio’s signature glamour intertwines with the whimsy and romance of spring. From the charm of the birds and the bees to the glowing allure of a walk-through beehive, each element of the exhibit celebrates the enchanting transformation that makes this season so extraordinary.”

West Bed
At the heart of the West Bed is Mother Earth, an impressive 18-foot-tall statue celebrating the season of change. Surrounded by vibrant wildflowers, Mother Earth wears a bonnet made of the finest spring botanicals while larger-than-life butterflies and finches soar above. On the left of the bed, an inviting woodland birdhouse serves as home to The Garden Table, an immersive dining experience where guests can enjoy a spring-inspired menu within the beauty of the garden.

North Bed
The North Bed features a striking waterfall cascading into a serene pond below. The signature Bellagio “B” emerges through the falling droplets, framed by a tapestry of lavender blooms. Striking purple pansies sculpted from live carnations and botanicals add a fresh and fragrant palette to the scene, inviting hungry birds to feed on their nectar. LED screens filled with natural imagery illuminate the bed from behind, while a harmonious soundtrack and a sweet honeysuckle scent fill the air. Guests can bring home a piece of the Conservatory with the bespoke candle, Nectar, available for purchase at the Giardini Store.

East Bed
A captivating 18-foot-tall beehive crafted from birch tree bark serves as the centerpiece of the East Bed. Guests can walk along a stone pathway through the beehive, where an intricate golden honeycomb illuminates the hive from within. Floral bees hover above, gathering nectar and producing honey as a symbol of hard work and cooperation. A gilded honeypot, adorned with the Bellagio “B,” spills its sweet contents onto the bed. Yellow roses and climbing stephanotis bloom in full glory, creating an inviting atmosphere of joy that complements the beauty of spring.

South Bed

In the South Bed, three baby birds hatch inside a grand 18-foot nest, nestled among artfully crafted Fabergé-style eggs and watched over by adult birds flying above. Below them, a vibrant kaleidoscope of orange, white and gold koi fish glide through a tranquil pond, symbolizing harmony, strength and good fortune. To the left, live finches flit within a deftly crafted birdcage, while a radiant caterpillar named Cassandra rests atop a nearby branch, surveying the scene. Wisteria trees in full bloom surround the delicate creatures, creating a symphony of lavender hues that add to the scene’s beauty.

The Garden Table

Visitors are invited to embark on a one-of-a-kind culinary journey at The Garden Table, hosted within a charming woodland birdhouse at the heart of the Bellagio Conservatory. Guests can experience an exclusive dining experience within the spring wonderland with brunch service from Sadelle’s at $145 per person and dinner from MICHAEL MINA Bellagio at $195 per person.

Bellagio’s Conservatory & Botanical Gardens invites guests to immerse themselves in the nostalgic magic of the season with this year’s holiday display, ‘Twas, now through January 4. Inspired by the classic poem “A Visit from St. Nicholas” by Clement Clarke Moore, ‘Twas unfolds through a series of sentimental scenes celebrating the spirit of generosity, tradition and family bonds, bringing visitors back to cherished holiday memories.

Imagined by designer Ed Libby and brought to life by Bellagio’s Horticulture team, the Conservatory display combines breathtaking floral arrangements and festive décor to bring the enchanting story to life, transporting guests into a beloved holiday dream. Adding to the experience, the Peppermint Express returns, serving delicious treats baked by Bellagio’s talented pastry chefs.

“This year’s theme offered us a special opportunity to create an experience that brings out the nostalgia of the holidays,” said Libby. “By blending iconic holiday elements with a comforting, dream-like atmosphere, we’ve crafted a display that even the most sophisticated adults can enjoy with childlike wonder. I feel this is our most traditional, quintessential holiday Conservatory ever – it’s designed to evoke warmth, joy and the unmistakable spirit and emotions of the season.”

West Bed
At the heart of the West Bed, an impressive 45-foot holiday tree towers above the scenery crowned with a glistening Swarovski star, dressed in over 35,000 mini-LED lights and covered with 8,700 ornaments. The awe-inspiring fir from Burney, California commands attention while the Peppermint Express miniature train chugs merrily around its trunk. Nearby screens feature a special ground-view feed of the train’s journey, immersing visitors into the scene. To the right of the bed, a stunning gingerbread house is lit from within, decorated with ruby red hearts, snow-like icing and the signature Bellagio “B,” complete with smoke escaping from its chimney and elves adding finishing touches. A vintage-style carousel invites guests to reminisce, with its handcrafted regal horses and ornate canopy adorned in red, green and gold embellishments. Oversized ornaments and vibrant poinsettias blanketing the ground, while trees of all sizes sparkle with lights and decorations, adding to the display’s holiday grandeur.

North Bed
At the center of the North Bed, whimsical stockings hang above a crackling fireplace, each filled with surprises for eager children. The gentle tick of an elaborate timepiece builds anticipation for the excitement of Christmas morning. On the left of the bed, a magnificent crimson sack overflows with handcrafted toys, while an elf playfully rides a wooden rocking horse nearby. A timeless scroll bearing the story behind ‘Twas leans against a stack of oversized gifts on the right, adding to the display’s nostalgic charm. Across the bed, poinsettias and holiday trees decorated by skilled elves bring seasonal warmth, while chandeliers and candlelit sconces hang above. Enchanting LED screens display winter scenes set to a bespoke holiday soundtrack, accompanied by the scent of a Sugar Plum Fairy-scented candle, available for guests to purchase as a keepsake from the Giardini Garden Store.

East Bed
The East Bed features a striking, gilded sleigh pulled by two elegantly dressed reindeer made of botanical elements. Perched atop a mountain of beautifully wrapped presents, an adventurous elf awaits, ready to embark on a journey delivering joy across the globe. Visitors can stroll along a walking path winding through the magical scene, lined with red poinsettias and a snow-covered railing, discovering the intricate details that make this display a true work of art. A floral sculpture of pinecones, holly berry and tree branches soar above the glimmering holiday trees and botanicals below.

The grand Bellagio bear, Drum Major Dolly, proudly shines as the star of the South Bed. Dressed in her ceremonial red uniform with gold shoulder tassels, Dolly radiates cheer as she plays along to the beat of the season’s melodies. Two spectacular chandeliers glow softly overhead, representing the exquisite craftsmanship of the display. To the left, a dedicated elf scales a ladder, adding finishing touches to this collaborative masterpiece by Bellagio’s Horticulture team. This September and October, outdoor lovers and party seekers alike are invited to enjoy the ultimate refreshing day on the water with Lake Mead Mohave Adventures’ (LMMA) new Party Boat Experience during “Secret Season.” Promising the perfect way to elevate any Las Vegas getaway, LMMA offers round-trip shuttle service from the Las Vegas Strip to nearby Callville Bay Marina as well as an all-day pontoon boat rental for up to 12 guests.

Each patio pontoon comes equipped with a spacious top-level sun deck and waterslide—guaranteeing sun-soaked fun throughout the day. A barbecue grill and wet bar makes mealtime satisfying and easy, while an accessible bathroom with running hot water and shower help keep guests comfortable. The excitement doesn’t end there – guests can also add a personal watercraft or small boat rental to their experience to up the ante.

For added convenience, guests can also order lunch from LMMA for an additional cost. The cookout menu, available for $36 per person, features a selection of classic grill favorites, including hotdogs and hamburgers served with brioche and regular buns; a variety of toppings such as lettuce, tomatoes, onions and pickles; and condiments such as ketchup, mustard and burger sauce.

The meal is complemented by side dishes such as potato salad; a fresh salad with romaine lettuce, tomatoes, onions and cucumbers; seasonal fruit cups; chips; and cookies. Guests can freshly grill their selections aboard the boat and vegetarian and vegan options can also be requested for an additional charge.

Alternatively, the box lunch menu, available for $32 per person, includes freshly made sandwiches with turkey breast, ham and cheese or a vegan chickpea salad wrap. Each box also contains chips, a fruit cup, a cookie and a drink, with a vegan cookie provided with the chickpea wrap.

After visitors arrive at their marina of choice, they’ll receive orientation on how to pilot the boats. LMMA’s staff then helps guests navigate out of the marina and onto the open lake. Once there, guests can pilot the boat across the water and enjoy the ruggedly beautiful landscape. If the designated captain of the boat is born before Jan. 1, 1983, they will need to attend a brief safety orientation upon arrival. If born after, the captain will need to present a Boater Education Card ($45) upon arrival. Information about the card can be found here. For an additional fee, groups of up to 11 guests can also hire a LMMA captain to pilot their boat for a truly relaxed experience.

“‘Secret Season’ is the best time of the year to experience our party boat offer at Lake Mead and Lake Mohave,” said Chad Taylor, director of marketing and guest experience, Lake Mead Mohave Adventures. “Kids are back in school, the summer tourists are gone, the weather begins to cool down but the water is still warm through the end of October. It’s the best kept recreational secret in Southern Nevada.”

LMMA’s shuttles pick up guests on the Strip between 8 and 9 a.m. and return back to Las Vegas between 4 and 5 p.m. The party boat offer, including a patio pontoon rental and round-trip transportation for up to 12 guests, starting at $1,399 at Callville Bay Marina. Fuel, tax, refundable deposit and gratuity are not included.

For an additional fee, groups of up to 11 guests can also hire a captain, who works independently from LMMA, to pilot their boat for a truly relaxed experience. Guests may inquire when they make reservations.  For more information and reservations, visit callvillebay.com.

HBX Group shared key insights into current travel trends and market growth during its inaugural day of the MarketHub Americas by HBX Group, celebrated this week in Las Vegas with the title “New Frontiers”. Key highlights included insights from top HBX Group executives and industry experts, showcasing the evolving landscape of the travel industry, with a special focus on regional market dynamics.

Nicolas Huss, CEO of HBX Group, kicked off the event discussing the growing influence of Generation Z on travel trends: “Gen Z travelers are reshaping the industry with their preference for last-minute bookings and package deals. However, their brand loyalty remains relatively low,” Huss noted. “Importantly, sustainability is a non-negotiable for them, influencing their travel choices significantly.”

Lauren Atlass, VP Commercial for North America, and Gisela Blok, VP Commercial for Latin America, reported a notable surge in travel interest, with HBX Group registering a 25% increase in searches, amounting to 5.6 billion searches per day. The top five fastest growing destinations for Latin American travelers include Hong Kong, Shanghai, Joao Pessoa, Curacao, and Salvador de Bahia. Meanwhile, North American travelers are most interested in Mazatlan, Zurich, Barbados, Sorrento, and Tokyo.

Increasing domestic travel and last-minute vacations in the Americas

MarketHub Americas stands out as one of the most important events of the year for HBX Group, highlighting the shifts and opportunities in the US and Latin-American travel market.

For instance, according to HBX Group data, Mexico emerges as the top destination and source market in LATAM. Brazil, showing the most significant growth in the region, follows as the second most popular destination, and the Dominican Republic as third.  Increasing domestic travel within Mexico and Brazil is also one of the highlights of the region. The average stay in LATAM is 3.3 nights, reflecting the region’s appeal for longer vacations.

In North America, New York continues to be the primary destination, drawing both domestic and international travelers. Las Vegas and Miami follow as top destinations. Domestic travel dominates the US market, showing a growing trend compared to the previous year. Travelers in this region show a preference for shorter trips, with the average stay being 2.4 nights. This average has recently decreased to 2.1 nights, driven by a rise in domestic travel where quick getaways and short vacations are more common.

Worth mentioning is the substantial increase in last-minute bookings in North America, especially in the last four weeks. This surge is primarily driven by the expanding domestic market, where travelers are increasingly making spontaneous travel decisions. The highest booking levels in North America are observed from August to September, indicating a peak travel period during late summer.
